Smart Thermostat FAQs

 Am I eligible to have a Smart Thermostat installed?

The Lyric Smart Thermostat will work with the vast majority of heating boilers in the UK You will need:

  • A working gas central heating system (with or without stored hot water)
  • A working home wifi system to enable the thermostat to link to the App
  • A mobile phone either android or IOS enabled.

Who will install my thermostat?

Our installer partner HomeServe Connect will install the Lyric Smart Thermostat for ScottishPower customers. Homeserve are a nationwide network of installers who have a wealth of experience in the installation of heating systems and controls.

Will my thermostat work without wifi?

Yes, the thermostat will work on its own and you can make all changes necessary, however you will not be able to connect to it via the App

What if I have an issue with my new thermostat?

Call us free on 0800 001 5231 (we’re open 9am to 5pm Mon- Fri)

If you select Option 2 you can get through to Honeywell’s dedicated technical support line who will help to resolve any problems you may be having.

What if my thermostat can’t be fixed?

Under your terms & conditions you will be entitled to a replacement product if necessary within the warranty period

How long does my contract last for?

Your Smart Thermostat contract will last 12 months and will automatically renew , unless you tell us not to. We’ll contact you before the renewal of your contract with further information.

What happens after the end of my contract?

We will advise you prior to the end of your contract regarding the automatic renewal of your service on the smart thermostat service and the ongoing monthly service cost.

How do I cancel my product?

If you change your mind and wish to cancel you contract then all you have to do is call us free on 0800 001 5231 (lines open 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or use the cancellation from your T&Cs and we’ll organise this for you.

How do I make a complaint?

We want you to be happy with your product and our services. If you have a complaint about the service, you can email our Customer Services at smarthome@scottishpower.com or you can phone us on 0800 001 5231
