What are Energy Tariffs plus Services?

At ScottishPower, we offer exclusive tariffs to customers who purchase selected Boiler Care and Smart Thermostat plans when choosing their new energy tariff - we’ve listed details of these below for you. Please note some energy tariffs may only be available through selected sales channels, such as via the web.

What are Boiler Care plans?

There are two different kinds of Boiler Care plans where customers are eligible for our exclusive energy tariffs:

  • Boiler Insurance is an insurance policy available online that gives you security knowing help is at hand if your boiler breaks down. This is only available via the web.
  • Boiler & Service Care is a maintenance and support plan, which is designed to help maintain your boiler and mitigate the risk of breakdown. Please note this is not an insurance policy. This may be available via the web, over the phone on 0800 027 0072 or in person at our ScottishPower Pop Up stands.

Who provides the Boiler Care?

Boiler Insurance is provided by Domestic & General Insurance PLC.

Boiler & Service Care is provided by Domestic & General Services Limited.

What Boiler Care plans make me eligible for these energy tariffs?

Customers choosing the following Boiler Care plans are eligible for our exclusive energy tariffs:

  • Boiler Insurance with £99 excess (£3.50 a month for 12 months, £42 for the year)
  • Boiler & Service Care with £99 call out fee (£9 a month for 12 months, £108 for the year)
  • Boiler & Service Care with £0 call out fee (£13 a month for 12 months, £156 for the year)

Your Boiler Care plan will start 30 days after sign up. Your plan will then run for the next 12 months until your renewal. Full details of your Direct Debit and renewal will be provided in your welcome letter that you'll receive via post.

Where can I find Terms and Conditions for the Boiler Insurance plans?

Full Terms and Conditions along with the Insurance Product Information Document for the Boiler Insurance are available to view and download when you choose the Boiler Insurance and energy tariff. They will also be sent to you in your Boiler Insurance welcome letter when you sign up to the policy; however, you can view further information about the policy, as well as access these documents on the Boiler Insurance FAQs here.

Where can I find Terms and Conditions for the Boiler & Service Care plans?

Full Terms and Conditions for the Boiler & Service Care plans are available to view and download if you choose the Boiler & Service and energy tariff from our website. If you sign up via the telephone or in person, you won’t receive the full terms and conditions until you receive your welcome letter, however you can view them here

What are Smart Thermostat plans?

Smart Thermostat is a Wi-Fi enabled, portable, smart heating and hot water solution. Remotely controlled through the ScottishPower app, you have control of your heating and hot water 24 hours a day.

Who provides the Smart Thermostat?

The Smart Thermostat is provided by Honeywell

What Smart Thermostat plans make me eligible for these energy tariffs?

Customers choosing the following Smart Thermostat plans are eligible for our exclusive energy tariffs:

  • Smart Thermostat at £19.99 a month for 12 months (£239.88 for the year)

Your Smart Thermostat plan will start on the day we receive your first payment after sign up. Your plan will then run for the next 12 months until your renewal. Full details of your Direct Debit and renewal will be provided in your welcome letter that you'll receive via post.
