Can't change tariff

My tariff expired on the 31st Jan, and for two weeks prior I am unable to update my tariff on the website or app. It just says 'sorry, we can't do this online, please contact webchat'

Contact webchat, they can't do it. Tell me to phone.

Phone up, on hold for ages and then they say another team will have to call me back.

Still no call back. Ridiculous.

You will be on default standard which is the cheapest until 1 April. Stick with it and switch at the end of March.

Really? the standard tariff looks like it will cost more than double what i'm on now

Standard is the cheapest on offer right now. I doubt it’s as much as double your existing tariff. Check the standing charge and p/kWh
