Solar Panel Meter readings

posted by BobG | A year ago

Investigating rates for Electric I find that Scottish Power offers cheaper rates to new customers than exisiting loyal customers . I have also investigated that you can operate with two suppliers if you have solar panels and get FIT rates .

Some suppliers do not use the facility for FIT refunds . So you could go and get a cheaper rate for electric from another supplier and still use Scottish Power to claim your FIT refund .

HelloVera. You need to put those readings in online. The link is at the bottom of the main SP page for feedin tariffs

Re: Solar Panel Meter readings

In fact Celyn you can see the link at the bottom if this page, it is under Energy Efficiency, and then Feed in Tariff. It is not difficult to do.

Re: Solar Panel Meter readings

Scottish power has not requested a meter reading from me since I joined.  How do I get the readings to them.  Also how much do Scottish Power pay for my Solar energy?

Re: Solar Panel Meter readings
@Deba If you are talking about the feed in tariff, the arrangements do not change when you switch, you continue with your FIT with the previous supplier. All suppliers pay the same FIT tariff, that is why there is no need to change.

Re: Solar Panel Meter readings

In April & May 2020 there was an unusually high amount of sunshine - record amounts!  My quarterly solar Feed-In reading is therefore unusually high.

The SP system will NOT accept the reading as it 'outside expected range'.

How do I get the system to accept the meter reading?  I have tried 'chat' (utter waste of time) and emails to 'support' are like banging one's sore head against the proverbial brick wall . . come on SP, this is not hard to solve.
