Switching questions

Hello community!

two quick questions:

1. I initiated a switch to Scottish Power on 19 April and immediately received an email saying an account had been set up. However, whenever I log in, I am told that the account is still not active. How long does this usually take?

2. In the account set up email, there is a link to a page about account questions (http://www.scottishpower.co.uk/support-centre/online-energy-service/online-account-help). This link doesn’t seem to exist (at least not on a smart phone). This is a real big bear of mine - when a company sends you a link that doesn’t work. If this forum is monitored then you may wish to fix this as it seems to be a link given to all new customers !

@rl290 This forum isn't monitored by Scottish Power customer service (unless someone reports a post, for whatever reason).

In addition, it is usually only used by people with problems, or simply to vent, so you may find any responses you get on here rather more negative than on the constructive side.

That said, IT issues within the Scottish Power framework can take days or months to be rectified, sometimes they never are, or are suspected to be left deliberately non-functioning - see other threads about their app. Tbh the website isn't much better for some - for others it works faultlessly. Luck of the draw, or design? No one seems to know.
