I had a smart meter installed and I also have HIVE. I have noticed that on days when I completely turn off the heating and HW I still use 18p of gas. It doesn't seem a lot but equates to £5 per month, or £65 per year!!!
Is it the boiler pilot light? Or do I have a gas leak?

This will be the daily standing charge which is usually somewhere between 15p and 28p per day.

I am having this issue too. Just had a SM installed. We have not hard our heating on for a few weeks (turned off via NEST) and although the boiler is on for hot water, only 4 showers today. Currently sitting at £7 spend so far today (2.30pm) - any ideas?

The app has gone wrong recently and does not report £ costs correctly. Look at the kWh readings and multiply by 7p to see a more accurate day gas usage
