Hello I have the same problem went blank in march after a few minutes powercut. Been calling every two-four weeks and nothing
I had this exact same problem at my last property, which I moved out of in July. The prepayment meter was blank for the whole time that I lived there (two years). I kept ringing SP to tell them that the meter needed to be changed. because I wasn't paying for my electicity (there was no way for me to pay for it!). SP never did anything about it. I wasted many hours of my life on the phone to them and became very anxious about the problem. One month after moving out I received a bill from them for just under £2000. The bill is dated from September 2018 to July 2020. It says on the bill that it is for a period of longer than twleve months, even though it is against the law for energy companies to backdate bills more than twelve months if the billing issue was a problem from their end (see Ofgem's backbilling regulations). Total shambles. So stressful.

Apparently we had a power cut after I left for work this morning and now the screen is blank. Reading through all the comments the meter will need replacing but Scottish Power won't visit whilst covid is around! So it looks like I can either:
A) Not pay for credit and let the bill build up till I move
or
B) Keep topping it up as normal and having no idea if I'm in credit or not
Far from satisfactory from Scottish Power!
