@windmill. Send a manual reading by phone to 0800 027 0072. If your meter was a smets2 SP should be able to read it but there could be a time delay. If it was smets1 you will have to continue with manual readings.
Scottish Power installed a Smart Meter last March unsuccessfully it was never completed after 3 hours work I have sent numerous emails etc and waited ages on the phone to find out what is happening - I still have to read the meter with more difficulty than before and they keep asking me when I want one installed I am just left in limbo and apparently it will be incompatible with another Power Supplier !!
